OVERVIEW

The reasonable news about food is that it appraises our body to the state of health it belongs to. It is just like a plant that we germinate in a land. It has the choice to develop faster or slower depending on the kinds of nutrients it has the potential to attract. Food is what makes the body grows faster, thereby enacting the state of our well beings.  Our physical and mental health play dynamic roles in our bodies. We need to know the kinds of foods that we should eat, and the best time to eat what we eat so that we may stay healthy.

Eat Well To Stay Healthy

Since we have the clues that our body requires food for growth, we need to eat well to stay healthy. Eating well can be a strategy for a balanced diet. You consume a lot of food doesn’t connote you are eating well, but the types of food you are eating can tell us if you are eating well. A balanced diet helps your body to stay effective, and this will help the body to maintain a healthy weight for standard living. Eating well prevents your body from sickness and diseases, especially from non-communicable diseases such as kidney disease, cancer, etc.

The Foods We Need For Healthy Diet

Vegetables


 Vegetables are plants raised for the edible part of it, such as leaves, roots, and flowers.

According to WHO, vegetables are important sources of vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, plant protein, and antioxidants. Vegetables contain calories but in a low quantity. Also, vegetables help lower the risk of obesity, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and certain types of cancer.

Bananas



Banana is a type of fruit that is highly rich in potassium. Bananas can also give your body vitamin B6.

Oranges



Orange is a fruit that is highly rich in Vitamin C which helps in the protection of cells. It helps the body to form collagen, a protein that gives smoothness to the human skin. It also helps the wound in the body to heal quickly. The vitamin C in orange boosts the immune system and helps to fight cancer-causing free radicals.

Strawberries



Strawberry is the best source of vitamin C. It also contains manganese and potassium. Strawberry is safe for people with diabetes. It also contains vitamin B9 which helps the growth of tissues and cell functions

Eggs



The egg is a great source of protein which helps in building blocks of life. It also contains Vitamin D and B2. Eggs also enable weight management, thereby boosting metabolic activities and increasing levels of hormones. It is also good for the eye.

Meats

Meats contain vital nutrients such as minerals, protein, Zinc, vitamin B12, Iodine, and iron. Iron carries oxygen around the body.

Nuts and seeds

Eating nuts and seeds are other sources of protein. They are also sources of nutrients such as calories, protein, fats, vitamin E, Fiber, etc.  Nuts also contain anti-inflammatory properties not only that, it helps to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Coconuts

Coconut contains higher fibers that keep your digestive system healthy. It contains Vitamin A, D, E, and K. It contains protein, minerals, and Vitamin B. Coconut also contains copper and iron which helps to form red blood cells.

Walnuts

Walnut helps to reduce heart disease and cancer risk. It gives healthful fats, magnesium, protein, copper, etc. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids which support brain functions.

Onions



Onions contain antioxidants and solvents that combat inflammation, lessen triglycerides and lessen cholesterol status in the body. However, eating raw onion is more beneficial than cooked one. Onion enhances a healthy heart and gives healthy bones. Onions also help to improve immunity that fights cancer property.

Cucumber



Cucumbers contain 96% percent of water. Cucumbers are rich in phytonutrients and vitamin K. It helps in the regulation of blood pressure because it contains potassium and magnesium. It also regulates blood sugar and helps to lose weight.

Benefits of Eating a Balanced Diet

Eating a balanced diet plays a lot of roles in our health. It makes our bodies stay active and live a free sickness life. Eating a balanced diet can help us manage our health and weight. When we manage our weight, the physical fitness of our bodies will be standard. Eating healthy foods also gives us strong bones and teeth. Foods that contain calcium give us strong bones and teeth. Diary products, Sardines, Soya beans, Fruit Juice, Broccoli, etc. can give strong bones and teeth. Eating a balanced diet saves us from heart disease. A low intake of salt and saturated fats can reduce high blood pressure and cholesterol. These are the major causes of heart disease. Taking fruits and vegetables can also reduce high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Take Away

To keep or maintain a healthy life, you need to eat a portion of healthy food. Wash your vegetables before you cook them. Also, wash your fruits before you eat them. Avoid junk and eat vitamins.

Lastly, avoid consuming heavy meals at night, and also avoid eating late.
